Niagara Falls Rainbow

Niagara Falls Rainbow.

Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in America, established in 1885 at the Niagara Reservation. Over 8 million visitors explore Niagara Falls State Park annually.  Niagara Falls is comprised of three waterfalls, from largest to smallest, the Horseshoe Falls (also known as the Canadian Falls), American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.  Niagara Falls' vertical height is over 176 feet in some sections.  The first person to go over the Niagara Falls in a barrel was 63-year-old school teacher Annie Edson Taylor. She is buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Niagara Falls in an area called Stunters Rest, along with other Niagara Falls daredevils.
We see rainbows when sunlight and rain combine to spread a spectrum of colors in the sky. As the sunlight travels through the water in the raindrops, it reflects the colors that we call a rainbow. A rainbow can also form at waterfalls such as the Niagara Falls. When the sun shines brightly during the day, you can see lovely rainbows forming at the falls. In this case, the rainbow is formed as result of the mist in the air around the falls.
